Canon 1200D: The Camera for Power Shooting by a Beginner

Canon 1200D: The Camera for Power Shooting by a Beginner
If there is a camera that does not intimidate the beginner, and yet gives him or her the technology and features to shoot good photos, then it is the Canon EOS 1200D DSLR Camera Kit with 18-55mm IS II and 55-250mm IS STM lenses. This combination of a fully loaded DSLR with two versatile zoom lenses cover wide-angle to telephoto perspectives taking care of most subjects one might shoot.
* High Resolution Photos and Full HD Video: The 1200D features an 18 megapixel APS-C-sized CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 image processor to produce high-resolution still imagery and full HD video recording with notable low-light sensitivity to an expandable ISO 12800.
* Big Resolution: The 18MP resolution, in my opinion, is perfectly adequate for all kind of shooters without burdening your desktop / laptop with data-crunching stress that an otherwise very high-res camera can do. It’s also optimum for minor cropping of images in post-production
* Optical Viewfinder: The optical viewfinder is a pentamirror type and is quite bright for viewing. The LCD is 3.0″ 460k-dot monitor for image monitoring and review as well as menu navigation. Very useful in sunny conditions too.
 * Let the camera act smart: Scene Intelligent Auto mode is available to be employed for optimizing camera settings to best render the scene at hand on auto-pilot (whenever needed) and a helpful Feature Guide can also be employed to display a simple description of each camera mode and function to aid in learning the intricacies of the of the camera which are not many for a patient learner. Exmple: If you are shooting landscapes, switch to the Landscape mode – and let the camera figure how to get the blues and greens right.
* Lenses to shoot landscapes to wildlife:

Included with the camera body is the standard zoom EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens, which provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 28.8-88mm. One aspherical element is incorporated within the optical design to help minimize chromatic aberrations and an Optical Image Stabilizer system has also been integrated to reduce the appearance of camera shake. Beginners will love this to avoid blurry images, especially when shooting at slow shutter speeds.
Extending the combined zoom range even further, the EF-S 55-250 f/4-5.6 IS STM lens is also included, which offers an equivalent focal length range of 88-400mm. Well-suited to use with distant subjects, this lens utilizes an STM autofocus motor to acquire precise focus while remaining silent and smooth for video shooting. The lens also features image stabilization for reducing the appearance of camera shake, something that becomes more apparent at the longer telephoto focal lengths.
The all-rounded still and video capabilities of 1200 D are complemented by the two zooms that cover all focal lengths from 28.8mm- 400mm which is a huge sweep for any kit. This essentially means that you are equipped to negotiate photographing any situation including landscapes, architecture, full-length group portraits and wildlife.
* Beautiful to handle: On the level of ergonomics 1200D is a light machine to handle for anyone but there’s a fair amount of power packed in a small package. You can even shoot with one hand. The camera can shoot at 3 fps (frames per second) on continuous mode and there are 9 AF points to take control of focussing needs without having to change the composition or do focus-locking.
* Filters for creative effect: On the aesthetic front there are five different creative filters that can alter the mood and visual effect of any particular scene. Creative Filters include Grainy Black and White, Soft focus, Fish-eye effect, Toy camera effect and Miniature effect. You could be shooting great images without needing to work on them in PhotoShop.
For a beginner who wants to graduate to a complete SLR kit without any obligation to upgrade in next two years or so this is a deal to seriously consider.
